Graham Dobson

Full Time Student - CPL

21-year-old Graham Dobson, one of our full-time students, joined us here at BFC in the fall of 2019. At the time, Graham had been attending Brandon University, pursuing an undergraduate degree in geography. Graham has since obtained his degree but in the process of doing so realized he was looking for a more exciting career path.

With no prior aviation experience, Graham decided to give flying a try. In September 2019 he took his first lesson and by January, he soloed. In September of 2020, exactly one year from his first flight, Graham had successfully completed his Private Pilot’s License. Dobson is also the winner of the Harold Parsonage Aviation Scholarship. He is currently hard at work on his Commercial Pilots License with intentions of a career in the airlines.

When asked what his favorite thing about the Brandon Flight Centre was, Graham mentioned how tight knit everyone is. “It feels like family".

Graham’s journey in aviation is a true testament to the value in stepping off the straight and narrow to try something new. Everyone here at BFC is so proud of what Graham has already accomplished and knows a bright future lies ahead for him!
